Self-Bodywork for Nervous System Regulation

If you wake up with your jaw clenched, joints stiff, or body tense, you might be holding more stress in your body than you realize.

In the fast-paced world we live in, it can be easy to disconnect from the body, which can cause you to store unprocessed stress in the body and miss the signals the body sends. This can lead to symptoms like chronic tension, anxiety, chronic pain, decreased mobility, poor posture, digestive issues, and low mood.

Self-bodywork works to untangle the layers of emotion and tension that get stuck in the body and bring the nervous system back into balance.

In this workshop, you’ll learn self-bodywork techniques that release tension, regulate your nervous system, and restore a sense of ease and comfort in your body. These are practical tools that you can use in your everyday life that bring groundedness and balance to your body within a matter of minutes.

Join us to learn self-bodywork for nervous system regulation and leave feeling grounded and restored.

Space limited to 10 people.

Cacao & Connection: A Mindful Date Night for Couples

  • The Center for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Have you ever been lying right next to your partner and still felt like they’re a million miles away?

That usually doesn’t happen because something is off or the love is lost.

It happens because life gets full, our bodies get tired, and somewhere along the way we start moving through the day beside each other instead of really with each other.

Maybe it feels like you’re mostly talking about schedules, plans, chores, kids, work, or what needs to happen next.

Maybe you miss the slower moments.

Maybe you’ve tried to reach for connection, but somehow it turns into frustration, shutdown, or feeling unseen.

Most of us want deeper connection in our relationships. We want to feel close. We want to feel chosen. We want to feel that our partners are really there with us.

But connection is not always something we’re taught how to create on purpose.

That’s why we created Cacao & Connection: A Mindful Date Night for Couples.

This evening is for couples who love each other and know there is more available. More softness. More presence. More play. More tenderness. More comfort in giving and receiving intentional touch.

Together, you’ll be guided through a cozy, heart-centered experience with ceremonial-grade cacao, a heart-opening meditation, conscious connection practices, and attuned touch with your partner.

So many workshops feel like a lecture, or therapy, or are centered around fixing something. This is not that.

It’s a mindful date night designed to help you slow down, settle in, and remember what it feels like to really be together.

We’ll provide the ceremonial cacao, yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, and other cozy items to help you relax into the experience. All we ask is that you bring your curiosity, openness, and willingness to meet your partner with fresh eyes and open heart.

All touch is consensual, partner-based, and fully clothed.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

-You will be fully clothed the whole time
-We will serve cacao (a minimally processed warm drinking chocolate)
-There will be a guided meditation to bring you into the experience
-Sensual touch will be above the clothing or on exposed skin, so dress to your comfort in layers
-There will be no genital touch
-We will begin with a consent conversation for the space, the facilitators, and for each couple
-You will only be connecting with your partner
-Feel free to bring extra nesting materials (cozy blankets, pillows, water bottles) since we will be on the floor
-There will be a demo for each segment and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions
-Participation is by choice and you are invited to participate at your comfort level

Why cacao?

Cacao is the aphrodisiac your parents didn’t know about (or maybe they did). It contains bioactive compounds that elevate mood, increase circulation, and enhance connection. This can lead to feelings of expansiveness, groundedness, and profound connection to self and others. We’ll be serving ceremonial grade cacao to create the conditions for deep connection.

You can learn more about the health benefits of cacao here: https://ceremonial-cacao.com/.../neurochemistry-mood...

Price per couple: $97

We're keeping this to 5 couples. You’ll know if this is for you.

The Art of Receiving: A Somatic 1-Day Experience for Women

The Art of Receiving: A Somatic 1-Day Experience for Women

  • The Center for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The Art of Receiving: A Somatic 1-Day Receivership Experience is a one day somatic experience for women who are used to being the one who holds everything together.

The one people go to.
The one who figures it out.
The one who supports everyone else.

And even when support is available…
something in you stays slightly guarded.
In control.
Not fully able to let go.

Not because you don’t want it
but because your body doesn’t quite trust it yet.

This experience isn’t about learning more.
It’s about having a different experience in your body.

A space where you don’t have to:

explain yourself
perform
stay “on”
or hold it all together

A space where you can be supported…
and actually let it land.

Through guided somatic work, nervous system awareness, gentle connection, and intentional touch, you’ll begin to notice where you resist support and what it feels like to soften that, safely.

You won’t be pushed to share anything you don’t want to.
You won’t be asked to go beyond what feels right.

This isn’t about forcing vulnerability.
It’s about creating the kind of safety where your body naturally opens… and begins to receive.

There will be space to:

slow down
connect with your body
experience support in real time
and integrate what comes up without rushing past it

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Investment:
Early Bird: $249 (limited spots or through April)
Tier 2: $264 (May)
Final Price: $279

Limited to 8 women.

We have 4 spots remaining.

RECLAIM: Self-Bodywork, Cacao, Community

A Somatic Journey Into Embodied Aliveness

RECLAIM goes beyond superficial self-love practices and instead takes you deep into the wisdom of your body, your living temple.

This experience is an invitation to get out of your head and back into the source of your power - your body. Through somatic practices, embodied movement, self-bodywork, and cacao, you will journey into the body as a site of safety, pleasure, power, and presence. In community, you will begin to reclaim your connection to your body - a place of deep intelligence, sensation and inner knowing.

We will awaken sensation, listen to the body’s language, and remember what it feels like to be grounded in ourselves - fully, warmly, and without apology.

Guided by Mia Becker, nervous system guide and somatic practitioner, you’ll be led into states of deep regulation, embodied bliss, and subtle activation, reconnecting you with your natural state of embodied aliveness.

In this workshop, you will experience:

  • Ceremonial cacao to deepen your connection to your body and expand awareness of sensation

  • Self-bodywork practices to awaken sensation, presence, and intimacy with the body

  • Embodied movement to activate life force, open the body, and stoke the fire within

  • Somatic practices to cultivate embodied presence, inner safety, and grounded power

  • Community connection to lift you up and provide support on your path

This is a return to the body as home, as temple, and as the place where your aliveness waits for you.

Fluid Zouk Cabin Retreat with Logan Ditillo & Camilla Magalhaes

Join us for Fluid Zouk Cabin Retreat, a small and intentional Brazilian Zouk weekend at Amethyst Retreat Center on April 24–26, featuring Logan Ditillo and Camilla Magalhaes.

This will be the most intimate training opportunity with Camilla and Logan on their U.S. tour.

Over the course of a cozy weekend in a shared cabin setting, we’ll create space for deep learning, meaningful connection, and high-quality movement exploration. With a small group and plenty of time together, this retreat allows for a level of attention and personalization that rarely happens in traditional workshops.

Our goal is simple: train deeply, move intentionally, and build community.

Classes will draw from Brazilian Zouk as well as broader movement principles — exploring connection, flow, touch quality, presence, and the mechanics that make dancing feel effortless and alive. Rather than rigidly fixed material, we’ll adapt the content to the group’s level, curiosities, and interests, allowing the experience to unfold organically. Participants will have the opportunity to share in a Google form what they’re most interested in learning at this point in their Zouk journey.

Throughout the retreat you can expect:

  • thoughtful classes and movement explorations

  • individualized feedback and one-on-one guidance

  • time to ask questions and refine your dance

  • relaxed practice sessions and social dancing

  • shared meals, conversation, and cozy community time

  • down-time to rest, explore the surrounding hiking trails, and enjoy the on-site sauna

This format allows us to slow down, listen more closely, and support each dancer in developing clarity, comfort, and freedom in their movement.

Come to listen.

Come to move with intention.

Leave empowered, attuned, and liberated in your dance.

What your ticket includes:

  • overnight stay in a beautiful retreat space (if choosing overnight option)

  • healthy meals and snacks over the course of your stay

Somatic healing offers a way back home to yourself. Through body-based practices, you’ll learn to untangle layers of stored stress and emotion, reconnect with your nervous system, and create space for more ease and resilience.

This workshop is an opportunity to:

  • Release physical and emotional tension through deep awareness, grounding breathwork, authentic movement, and healing self-bodywork

  • Explore gentle, accessible movement to support mobility and flow

  • Learn nervous system regulation techniques you can use in daily life

  • Leave feeling grounded, centered, and refreshed

About Somatics

Blooming Into Being

Blooming Into Being

Blooming Into Being is a springtime somatic afternoon retreat designed to help you gently shed what no longer fits, nourish your inner soil, and awaken the aliveness that’s ready to rise through you.

This is not about forcing growth.
It’s about creating the conditions where growth becomes inevitable.

Through embodied practices, sensory ritual, and heart-centered connection, we will tend to the fertile ground within — preparing the body, nervous system, and spirit to plant seeds that will blossom in the months ahead.

Together, we’ll weave a nourishing and uplifting experience through:

  • Somatic practices and embodied movement to invite lightness, expansion, and presence into the body

  • Guided breathwork and energy practices to clear stagnation, awaken vitality, and support renewal

  • Nourishing herbal infusions and foods to support digestion, circulation, and the gentle return of energy

  • Ritual and reflection for visioning and seed-planting — clarifying what you are ready to grow, call in, and become

  • Heart-centered connection and community to remind us that we do not bloom alone

Dancing Into Connection (Vol. 2)

Dancing Into Connection (Vol. 2)

A 2-hour embodied exploration of presence, connection, and flow.

Dancing into Connection (Vol. 2) is an experiential workshop that deepens our exploration of breath, touch, presence, and authentic relating through the container of partner dance. This offering invites you into a richer, more nuanced experience of connection — with yourself, with others, and with the moment — while cultivating ease, comfort, and aliveness in movement.

Through guided somatic connection exercises and partner dance explorations, we will investigate what it feels like to listen and respond through the body, to move in dialogue with another person, and to access states of flow while dancing together. This workshop emphasizes listening through the body, attuning to sensation, and responding from felt presence rather than performance.

Social dancing — defined as any dance involving two or more people — offers a rich, embodied framework for exploring presence, grounding, connection, and aliveness in motion. In this space, we will practice moving with consent, clarity and curiosity, while discovering how breath, touch, and presence can support deeper connection and mutual regulation.

This workshop is open to dancers of many backgrounds, including contact improvisation, Brazilian Zouk, fusion, and other partner-based or improvisational forms, as well as dance-curious individuals who are new to partner movement.

No partner and no previous dance experience are required.
Come as you are — curious, embodied, and willing to explore what connection feels like when it’s lived through the body in motion.

This movement intensive will be followed by an optional Open-Level Zouk Workshop and Zouk Social with Zouksylvania.

RECLAIM: A Somatic Self-Love Experience

  • The Center for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

RECLAIM is a sensory, somatic experience designed to bring you back home to your body.

Not through the surface-level kind of “self-love.”

Not through affirmations or aesthetics.

But through the kind of love and devotion that is felt — in your breath, your skin, your cells, your energy.

This experience is an invitation to soften out of survival, drop out of your head, and return to the place where aliveness actually lives. Through ceremonial cacao, breathwork, somatic practices, and sacred ritual, we will journey into the body as a site of safety, pleasure, power, and presence. We will awaken sensation. We will listen to the body’s language. We will remember what it feels like to be grounded in ourselves — fully, warmly, and without apology.

Guided by Mia Becker, a nervous system guide and somatic practitioner, you’ll be led into states of deep regulation, embodied bliss, and subtle activation — reconnecting you with the innate intelligence and vitality that already live within you.

Dancing into Connection

Dancing into Connection is a two-part event that explores breath, touch, presence, movement, and authentic relating as portals into deeper connection with others. Christiana Joy Dominguez, MSW will lead us in a Tantric Breathwork and Consensuality workshop followed by a Partner Dance Meditation workshop led by somatic practitioner, Mia Becker, and dance instructor, Ben Meadows. We will practice embodying the ethos that conscious connection can be a catalyst for personal and relational transformation as we journey through the textures of connection with self and others.

2-3 PM: Tantric Breathwork & Consensuality with Christi

Tantric breathwork embodies the foundational elements woven together to form the body. The body can be a vast and marvelous playground, especially when we dedicate ourselves to the power within it. Sharing that power with others is a wondrous gift in the human experience. In this workshop, we will engage in a breath practice designed to ease us into our bodies’ power and bliss, and then explore new ways of sharing that energy with simple, non-contact direct human exchange.

3-5 PM: Partner Dance Meditation with Mia & Ben

Partner dance is defined as any dance that is danced with two or more people and can be a container for deep healing. This workshop will dive deeper into the concepts of breath, touch, presence, and authentic relating in the context of partner dance to deepen your connection with self and others and to embody your authentic expression. We will practice somatic connection exercises and discover what it means to be in a state of authentic connection and flow while moving with others. This workshop is applicable to a wide range of dance styles, including contact improv, Brazilian Zouk, and fusion dancers, as well as dance curious individuals. No partner or previous experience with dance is necessary to attend.
