Blooming Into Being
Blooming Into Being is a springtime somatic afternoon retreat designed to help you gently shed what no longer fits, nourish your inner soil, and awaken the aliveness that’s ready to rise through you.
This is not about forcing growth.
It’s about creating the conditions where growth becomes inevitable.
Through embodied practices, sensory ritual, and heart-centered connection, we will tend to the fertile ground within — preparing the body, nervous system, and spirit to plant seeds that will blossom in the months ahead.
Together, we’ll weave a nourishing and uplifting experience through:
Somatic practices and embodied movement to invite lightness, expansion, and presence into the body
Guided breathwork and energy practices to clear stagnation, awaken vitality, and support renewal
Nourishing herbal infusions and foods to support digestion, circulation, and the gentle return of energy
Ritual and reflection for visioning and seed-planting — clarifying what you are ready to grow, call in, and become
Heart-centered connection and community to remind us that we do not bloom alone

Zouk Flow Cabin Retreat with Logan Ditillo & Camilla Magalhaes
Join us for Zouk Flow Cabin Retreat, a small and intentional Brazilian Zouk weekend at Amethyst Retreat Center on April 24–26, featuring Logan Ditillo and Camilla Magalhaes.
This will be the most intimate training opportunity with Camilla and Logan on their U.S. tour.
Over the course of a cozy weekend in a shared cabin setting, we’ll create space for deep learning, meaningful connection, and high-quality movement exploration. With a small group and plenty of time together, this retreat allows for a level of attention and personalization that rarely happens in traditional workshops.
Our goal is simple: train deeply, move intentionally, and build community.
Classes will draw from Brazilian Zouk as well as broader movement principles — exploring connection, flow, touch quality, presence, and the mechanics that make dancing feel effortless and alive. Rather than rigidly fixed material, we’ll adapt the content to the group’s level, curiosities, and interests, allowing the experience to unfold organically. Participants will have the opportunity to share in a Google form what they’re most interested in learning at this point in their Zouk journey.
Throughout the retreat you can expect:
thoughtful classes and movement explorations
individualized feedback and one-on-one guidance
time to ask questions and refine your dance
relaxed practice sessions and social dancing
shared meals, conversation, and cozy community time
down-time to rest, explore the surrounding hiking trails, and enjoy the on-site sauna
This format allows us to slow down, listen more closely, and support each dancer in developing clarity, comfort, and freedom in their movement.
Come to listen.
Come to move with intention.
Leave empowered, attuned, and liberated in your dance.
What your ticket includes:
overnight stay in a beautiful retreat space (if choosing overnight option)
healthy meals and snacks over the course of your stay

RECLAIM: A Somatic Journey into Embodied Aliveness
A Somatic Journey into Embodied Aliveness
RECLAIM is more than a healing experience — it is an initiation into the wisdom of your body, into the mysteries and depths of your living temple.
This experience is an invitation to soften out of survival, drop out of your head, and return to the place where aliveness actually lives. It is a doorway back into the body not as an object to manage, but as a sacred, living space to inhabit, listen to, and trust.
Through ceremonial cacao, breathwork, somatic practices, energy healing techniques, and sacred ritual, we will journey into the body as a site of safety, pleasure, power, and presence. Together, we will begin to reclaim the body as temple — a place of deep intelligence, sensation, and inner knowing.
We will awaken sensation.
We will listen to the body’s language.
We will remember what it feels like to be grounded in ourselves — fully, warmly, and without apology.
Guided by Mia Becker, nervous system guide and somatic practitioner, you’ll be led into states of deep regulation, embodied bliss, and subtle activation — reconnecting you with the innate intelligence and vitality that already live within you.
In this workshop, you will experience:
Ceremonial cacao to deepen your connection to your body and expand awareness of sensation
Self-bodywork practices to awaken sensation, presence, and intimacy with the body
Breathwork to activate life force, open the body, and stoke the fire within
Energy healing practices to clear, balance, and awaken the body’s major energy centers in support of vitality
Somatic practices to cultivate embodied presence, inner safety, and grounded power
Devotional ritual to nourish, anchor, and honor the body as a living temple
This is a return to the body as home, as temple, and as the place where your aliveness waits for you.

Somatic Stress Release Workshop
When was the last time you truly felt at home in your body?
In today’s fast-paced world, many of us live in a state of chronic stress—disconnected from the body and holding tension that never quite gets to unwind. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, fatigue, pain, and emotional overwhelm.
This workshop is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and release what your body has been holding. Through guided somatic awareness, gentle movement, breathwork, and self-bodywork, you’ll learn practical ways to regulate your nervous system, soften areas of tension, and reconnect with your natural state of ease.
You’ll walk away with:
A deeper sense of connection and presence in your body
Practical tools to calm your nervous system in daily life
Greater awareness of where and how stress shows up in your body
Simple self-regulation practices you can return to anytime you need grounding
Come as you are—no experience required. Leave feeling centered, spacious, and renewed.

Brazilian Zouk Open-Level Class & Social
After the Dancing into Connection intensive, join us for an open-level Brazilian Zouk class co-taught by Mia and Tomás, followed by a relaxed social dance. This class is beginner-friendly and open to all — no prior experience or partner needed.
We’ll explore the foundations of Brazilian Zouk through connection, rhythm, and smooth, circular movement, emphasizing comfort, consent, and presence rather than performance. Whether you’re brand new to Zouk or returning to the dance floor, this class offers a supportive space to learn, move, and connect.
Stay after to dance, integrate, and enjoy the music together in a welcoming community atmosphere.
Schedule:
12:30-2:30 Dancing Into Connection - Special Topic Intensive
2:45-3:45 Zouk Open Level Workshop (Connection in Zouk)
3:45-7:00 Zouk Social
Dancing Into Connection (Vol. 2)
A 2-hour embodied exploration of presence, connection, and flow.
Dancing into Connection (Vol. 2) is an experiential workshop that deepens our exploration of breath, touch, presence, and authentic relating through the container of partner dance. This offering invites you into a richer, more nuanced experience of connection — with yourself, with others, and with the moment — while cultivating ease, comfort, and aliveness in movement.
Through guided somatic connection exercises and partner dance explorations, we will investigate what it feels like to listen and respond through the body, to move in dialogue with another person, and to access states of flow while dancing together. This workshop emphasizes listening through the body, attuning to sensation, and responding from felt presence rather than performance.
Social dancing — defined as any dance involving two or more people — offers a rich, embodied framework for exploring presence, grounding, connection, and aliveness in motion. In this space, we will practice moving with consent, clarity and curiosity, while discovering how breath, touch, and presence can support deeper connection and mutual regulation.
This workshop is open to dancers of many backgrounds, including contact improvisation, Brazilian Zouk, fusion, and other partner-based or improvisational forms, as well as dance-curious individuals who are new to partner movement.
No partner and no previous dance experience are required.
Come as you are — curious, embodied, and willing to explore what connection feels like when it’s lived through the body in motion.
This movement intensive will be followed by an optional Open-Level Zouk Workshop and Zouk Social with Zouksylvania.
RECLAIM: A Somatic Self-Love Experience
RECLAIM is a sensory, somatic experience designed to bring you back home to your body.
Not through the surface-level kind of “self-love.”
Not through affirmations or aesthetics.
But through the kind of love and devotion that is felt — in your breath, your skin, your cells, your energy.
This experience is an invitation to soften out of survival, drop out of your head, and return to the place where aliveness actually lives. Through ceremonial cacao, breathwork, somatic practices, and sacred ritual, we will journey into the body as a site of safety, pleasure, power, and presence. We will awaken sensation. We will listen to the body’s language. We will remember what it feels like to be grounded in ourselves — fully, warmly, and without apology.
Guided by Mia Becker, a nervous system guide and somatic practitioner, you’ll be led into states of deep regulation, embodied bliss, and subtle activation — reconnecting you with the innate intelligence and vitality that already live within you.
Tending the Embers Within
Tending the Embers Within
A Winter Somatic Sanctuary
In the quiet heart of winter, our inner fires can dim — asking us to slow down, nourish deeply, and reconnect with what keeps us warm from the inside out.
Tending the Embers Within is a somatic afternoon retreat designed to help you come home to your body and rekindle your inner glow through embodied practices and rituals, warming nourishment, and heartfelt community.
Together, we’ll weave a cozy and restorative experience through:
Somatic practices and embodied movement to awaken warmth and presence
Guided breathwork and energy practices to circulate vitality through the body
Warming foods and herbal elixirs to nourish the senses and the soma
Heart-centered connection to remind us of the warmth we create together
This gathering is an invitation to slow down, soften, and stoke the inner flame that sustains you through the darker months — a space to rest, restore, and remember the quiet power of your own embodied warmth.
Come as you are, and let’s tend the embers within — together.

Dancing into Connection
Dancing into Connection is a two-part event that explores breath, touch, presence, movement, and authentic relating as portals into deeper connection with others. Christiana Joy Dominguez, MSW will lead us in a Tantric Breathwork and Consensuality workshop followed by a Partner Dance Meditation workshop led by somatic practitioner, Mia Becker, and dance instructor, Ben Meadows. We will practice embodying the ethos that conscious connection can be a catalyst for personal and relational transformation as we journey through the textures of connection with self and others.
2-3 PM: Tantric Breathwork & Consensuality with Christi
Tantric breathwork embodies the foundational elements woven together to form the body. The body can be a vast and marvelous playground, especially when we dedicate ourselves to the power within it. Sharing that power with others is a wondrous gift in the human experience. In this workshop, we will engage in a breath practice designed to ease us into our bodies’ power and bliss, and then explore new ways of sharing that energy with simple, non-contact direct human exchange.
3-5 PM: Partner Dance Meditation with Mia & Ben
Partner dance is defined as any dance that is danced with two or more people and can be a container for deep healing. This workshop will dive deeper into the concepts of breath, touch, presence, and authentic relating in the context of partner dance to deepen your connection with self and others and to embody your authentic expression. We will practice somatic connection exercises and discover what it means to be in a state of authentic connection and flow while moving with others. This workshop is applicable to a wide range of dance styles, including contact improv, Brazilian Zouk, and fusion dancers, as well as dance curious individuals. No partner or previous experience with dance is necessary to attend.

Co-regulation Station Workshop @ Anahata’s Purpose
We are surrounded by stimuli, distractions, and stressors that disconnect us from our bodies and each other. What’s more, we don’t often have time and space to come back home to our bodies and self-regulate before connecting with others. And yet, our bodies are constantly responding and reacting to each other in conscious and unconscious ways.
Resmaa Menakem wrote: “Our bodies guide and follow other bodies; a settled nervous system encourages other nervous systems to settle. This is why a calm, settled presence can create room for a multitude of possibilities, and become the foundation for changing the world.”
Therefore, in a world full of dysregulated individuals, co-regulation can be the medicine that brings us closer together in authentic ways.
In this workshop, we will explore coregulation through a trauma-informed and polyvagal lens with the use of somatic practices that will help you cultivate an understanding of your somatic experience of the world around you and bring you into closer relationship with your body and others.
Through breath, movement, and touch (with consent), you will explore how to effectively regulating yourself as a foundation for coregulation, learn how to listen to the changes that happen in your body when you interact with others, create mindful and consensual coregulatory experiences with others, and realize how you can use the power of coregulation to create harmonious relationships and communities.

Mackenzie Stevenson
My personal journey through anxiety and panic disorder sparked a deep curiosity about the intricate connections between mind, body, and spirit. Over time, I've discovered how to harness the wisdom of my body as a guiding resource. My passion lies in assisting others on their own paths of embodiment, creating a supportive environment where they can authentically witness and embrace their healing journey. Continuously evolving, I draw inspiration from the rhythms of nature and am deeply influenced by what came before us. My approach to healing is deeply rooted in reverence for the elements and the timeless wisdom they embody, and I offer this in my work through ceremony and ritual. Over the years I’ve trained in Healing Touch, Somatic Therapy, Cuddle Therapy, Tantra, Focusing Oriented Therapy and Whole Person Coaching. It’s an honor to be on this path with you!

VIRTUAL | The Power of Touch: Self-Touch for Nervous System Regulation
When was the last time you were present with your body?
In the fast-paced world we live in, it can be easy to dissociate from the body, which can cause us to store unprocessed stress in the body and miss the signals the body sends us. This can lead to symptoms like chronic tension, anxiety, chronic pain, decreased mobility, poor posture, digestive issues, and low mood. Self-applied touch can bring us deeper into relationship with the body and untangle the layers of emotion and tension that get stuck there.
This workshop is a chance for you to come back home to your body and release tension through healing self touch and bodywork. We’ll discuss how you can work with your nervous system to regulate yourself through gentle practices and techniques that you can use in your everyday life. We’ll explore polyvagal theory, self-bodywork techniques, the power of touch, various nervous system regulation tools, and what it means to be present with the body.

Co-regulation Station Workshop @ FlowJam
