RECLAIM: A Somatic Self-Love Experience

  • The Center for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

RECLAIM is a sensory, somatic experience designed to bring you back home to your body.

Not through the surface-level kind of “self-love.”

Not through affirmations or aesthetics.

But through the kind of love and devotion that is felt — in your breath, your skin, your cells, your energy.

This experience is an invitation to soften out of survival, drop out of your head, and return to the place where aliveness actually lives. Through ceremonial cacao, breathwork, somatic practices, and sacred ritual, we will journey into the body as a site of safety, pleasure, power, and presence. We will awaken sensation. We will listen to the body’s language. We will remember what it feels like to be grounded in ourselves — fully, warmly, and without apology.

Guided by Mia Becker, a nervous system guide and somatic practitioner, you’ll be led into states of deep regulation, embodied bliss, and subtle activation — reconnecting you with the innate intelligence and vitality that already live within you.

Dancing Into Connection (Vol. 2)

Dancing Into Connection (Vol. 2)

A 2-hour embodied exploration of presence, connection, and flow.

Dancing into Connection (Vol. 2) is an experiential workshop that deepens our exploration of breath, touch, presence, and authentic relating through the container of partner dance. This offering invites you into a richer, more nuanced experience of connection — with yourself, with others, and with the moment — while cultivating ease, comfort, and aliveness in movement.

Through guided somatic connection exercises and partner dance explorations, we will investigate what it feels like to listen and respond through the body, to move in dialogue with another person, and to access states of flow while dancing together. This workshop emphasizes listening through the body, attuning to sensation, and responding from felt presence rather than performance.

Social dancing — defined as any dance involving two or more people — offers a rich, embodied framework for exploring presence, grounding, connection, and aliveness in motion. In this space, we will practice moving with consent, clarity and curiosity, while discovering how breath, touch, and presence can support deeper connection and mutual regulation.

This workshop is open to dancers of many backgrounds, including contact improvisation, Brazilian Zouk, fusion, and other partner-based or improvisational forms, as well as dance-curious individuals who are new to partner movement.

No partner and no previous dance experience are required.
Come as you are — curious, embodied, and willing to explore what connection feels like when it’s lived through the body in motion.

This movement intensive will be followed by an optional Open-Level Zouk Workshop and Zouk Social with Zouksylvania.

Blooming Into Being

Blooming Into Being is a springtime somatic afternoon retreat designed to help you gently shed what no longer fits, nourish your inner soil, and awaken the aliveness that’s ready to rise through you.

This is not about forcing growth.
It’s about creating the conditions where growth becomes inevitable.

Through embodied practices, sensory ritual, and heart-centered connection, we will tend to the fertile ground within — preparing the body, nervous system, and spirit to plant seeds that will blossom in the months ahead.

Together, we’ll weave a nourishing and uplifting experience through:

  • Somatic practices and embodied movement to invite lightness, expansion, and presence into the body

  • Guided breathwork and energy practices to clear stagnation, awaken vitality, and support renewal

  • Nourishing herbal infusions and foods to support digestion, circulation, and the gentle return of energy

  • Ritual and reflection for visioning and seed-planting — clarifying what you are ready to grow, call in, and become

  • Heart-centered connection and community to remind us that we do not bloom alone

Dancing into Connection

Dancing into Connection is a two-part event that explores breath, touch, presence, movement, and authentic relating as portals into deeper connection with others. Christiana Joy Dominguez, MSW will lead us in a Tantric Breathwork and Consensuality workshop followed by a Partner Dance Meditation workshop led by somatic practitioner, Mia Becker, and dance instructor, Ben Meadows. We will practice embodying the ethos that conscious connection can be a catalyst for personal and relational transformation as we journey through the textures of connection with self and others.

2-3 PM: Tantric Breathwork & Consensuality with Christi

Tantric breathwork embodies the foundational elements woven together to form the body. The body can be a vast and marvelous playground, especially when we dedicate ourselves to the power within it. Sharing that power with others is a wondrous gift in the human experience. In this workshop, we will engage in a breath practice designed to ease us into our bodies’ power and bliss, and then explore new ways of sharing that energy with simple, non-contact direct human exchange.

3-5 PM: Partner Dance Meditation with Mia & Ben

Partner dance is defined as any dance that is danced with two or more people and can be a container for deep healing. This workshop will dive deeper into the concepts of breath, touch, presence, and authentic relating in the context of partner dance to deepen your connection with self and others and to embody your authentic expression. We will practice somatic connection exercises and discover what it means to be in a state of authentic connection and flow while moving with others. This workshop is applicable to a wide range of dance styles, including contact improv, Brazilian Zouk, and fusion dancers, as well as dance curious individuals. No partner or previous experience with dance is necessary to attend.

Co-regulation Station Workshop @ Anahata’s Purpose

We are surrounded by stimuli, distractions, and stressors that disconnect us from our bodies and each other. What’s more, we don’t often have time and space to come back home to our bodies and self-regulate before connecting with others. And yet, our bodies are constantly responding and reacting to each other in conscious and unconscious ways.

Resmaa Menakem wrote: “Our bodies guide and follow other bodies; a settled nervous system encourages other nervous systems to settle. This is why a calm, settled presence can create room for a multitude of possibilities, and become the foundation for changing the world.”

Therefore, in a world full of dysregulated individuals, co-regulation can be the medicine that brings us closer together in authentic ways.

In this workshop, we will explore coregulation through a trauma-informed and polyvagal lens with the use of somatic practices that will help you cultivate an understanding of your somatic experience of the world around you and bring you into closer relationship with your body and others.

Through breath, movement, and touch (with consent), you will explore how to effectively regulating yourself as a foundation for coregulation, learn how to listen to the changes that happen in your body when you interact with others, create mindful and consensual coregulatory experiences with others, and realize how you can use the power of coregulation to create harmonious relationships and communities.

Mackenzie Stevenson

My personal journey through anxiety and panic disorder sparked a deep curiosity about the intricate connections between mind, body, and spirit. Over time, I've discovered how to harness the wisdom of my body as a guiding resource. My passion lies in assisting others on their own paths of embodiment, creating a supportive environment where they can authentically witness and embrace their healing journey. Continuously evolving, I draw inspiration from the rhythms of nature and am deeply influenced by what came before us. My approach to healing is deeply rooted in reverence for the elements and the timeless wisdom they embody, and I offer this in my work through ceremony and ritual. Over the years I’ve trained in Healing Touch, Somatic Therapy, Cuddle Therapy, Tantra, Focusing Oriented Therapy and Whole Person Coaching. It’s an honor to be on this path with you!
