Somatic Stress Release Workshop

When was the last time you were present with your body? In the fast-paced world we live in, it can be easy to dissociate from the body, which can cause us to store unprocessed stress in the body and miss the signals the body sends us. This can lead to symptoms like chronic tension, anxiety, chronic pain, decreased mobility, poor posture, digestive issues, and low mood. Somatic practices can bring us deeper into relationship with the body and untangle the layers of emotion and tension that get stuck there.

This workshop is a chance for you to come back home to your body and release tension through the Somatic Stress Release framework. We’ll discuss how you can work with your nervous system to regulate yourself through gentle practices and techniques that you can use in your everyday life. We’ll explore polyvagal theory, self-bodywork techniques, gentle movement, various nervous system regulation tools, and what it means to be present with the body.
